Thanksgiving 2012

We are so blessed to be able to come together and have Thanksgiving with our families.  That's the advantages of living close to home!  We always have lunch with Todd's family.  On Thanksgiving it's a tradition that the boys help Grandma get out the yard decorations with their cousins.  It's always fun helping out!   Then they draw names for Christmas and this gets them super excited.  Then later that afternoon it's supper with my family.  Needless to say, we are always stuffed!!

Halloween 2012

This year for Halloween we went to a Halloween Party over at The Fowler's house.  We all had a wonderful time and the boys got to play and go on a hayride.  This year they got to wear their Halloween costumes more than one time.  However, with Carson I never knew from day to day which costume he would be wearing.  Halloween fell on a Wednesday this year so we had parties at school and the kids wore their costumes to school.  After school we always go to Todd's work for them to Trick or Treat and then he will leave and go with us.  This year we went to the annual down town festival in Lavonia and then left there went to church.  Our church had a festival with a hot dog/chili supper and games for the kids.  I think their favorite part was the cake walk.  I used to love to walk for cakes  when I was little.  I guess they haven't had much exposure to them.  Chandler and Carson actually loved walking and winning cakes!  We had a great Halloween.  All kids of my boys have been Captain Jack Sparrow so I can compare each of them!

Back to School 2012

I think we are off to a good school year! Our first day of school was last Friday, August 17th. All the boys seem very happy this year and that makes it so much easier on mom!  Chase and Chanlder are in the same room again which I love. They have great teachers again this year!  They are in Mrs. Bryant's class and they will be attending Mrs. Foster's class this year too.  They are both real excited about that.  I know they are going to have a great year full of learning.  It's hard to believe  my baby started kindergarten this year.  Seems like yesterday Chase & Chandler started Pre-school and I was carrying Carson around in his car seat everywhere and then on my hip all the time!  Carson has loved school ever since he started preschool!  I'm so happy that he does and that he wants to learn.  He has a wonderful kindgergarten teacher & parapro, Mrs. Bruce and Mrs. Ward.  I know he will strive to do his best because he's so eager to learn.  They all are...so I am wishing and hoping for a very successful year!

Summer Fun!

Ok..well I meant to have posted this before school started back but it's been a crazy, fun summer! First of all we started out with a broken wrist and all-stars so our activities were limited.  Then once all that was done and over with we started with our summer fun.  We went to the beach and had so much fun. That's one place I could move to and be happy!  We spent some days at the movies, sky zone and the water park.  Of course the boys loved all of them.  Here are a few pics from some of the fun we had.

Durham Town

This past weekend Chase got the chance to go to Durham Town.  They loaded the trailer on Friday night and got up Saturday and left out early for this day of fun!  It was probably the earliest he's been up all summer!!  They picked up Evan, Abby and Bruce and headed down.  Of course he loved every minute of it, I knew he would....now he's begging to go back already.  It was so hot but that didn't slow him down any.  He loved riding the trails and jumping the hills.  I guess we know where we will be going in the fall with him.

Fourth of July Week

This week we enjoyed Todd being home with us for several days.  He was off for the 4th which was nice!  We celebrated the 4th of July over at the Tuckers annual firework celebration.  We started this tradition last year.  We have dinner there and watch the fireworks at dark.  It's awesome fireworks and the kids love watching the show.

Then this week we've been swimming a lot.  It's been so hot that is the only way to stay cool if you go outside!  Of course all the boys love to swim, so they wanted Sarah to play in the pool with them.  She would sit on the steps and play some and of course she loved being held:)  They missed LP though, she's at the beach with Aunt Deb.
